Hedges-Boyer Park

Hedges-Boyer Park is Tiffin’s community park.  The park’s physical address is located at 491 Coe St. in Tiffin and consists of 78 acres of parkland with a creek running through it.

Currently the park has six picnic shelters with approximately 10 picnic tables and a grill.  The park is also home to a large historic shelter barn that can accommodate larger groups in an enclosed but rustic environment.  All the shelters have electricity and the barn has a sink with running water.

Hedges-Boyer Park is also home to four baseball/softball diamonds with three of the diamonds being lighted.  The park is also has a 70-yard little league football field which is home to the Tiffin Little League Football program.  The park also has lighted tennis, sand volleyball and basketball courts.  The park also provides an accessible playground area for children ages 2-5 and 5-12.  Hedges-Boyer Park is also home to an entertainment band pavilion stage allowing for community concerts and performances.  Hedges Boyer Park has several miles of paved walking trails that are heavily used year round.

A new feature to Hedges-Boyer Park that is free to the public is our 18-hole disc golf course that sprawls over the entire park, featuring challenging but fun play for the novice player to the pro.  The course allows you to experience all of the great features of Hedges-Boyer Park, from the elevation changes of the lay of the land to the wide open spaces and into the wooded areas of the course.

Hedges-Boyer Park is home to our community swimming pool that features a 300,000 gallon main pool and a wading pool for our younger visitors.  The main pool also features a large spiral slide, a mushroom rain drop, and two diving boards for the deep end.

Hedges-Boyer Park is home to many year round special events, including Tiffin’s Fourth of July Celebration, the Cross Country Carnival (2nd largest cross country race in the nation), and the Relay for Life event, the Heritage Festival, and much more.  Many adult and youth leagues utilize the athletic courts and fields for sand volleyball, football, baseball and softball throughout the year.  The hill near Vic Wurm field provides a wonderful place in the winter to sled.  Find out more by contacting the Park and Recreation Office at 419-448-5408 or email mcoleman@tiffinohio.gov.
