E League Baseball Description

E-League baseball consists of 12 teams with 12-15 players per roster.  This 8-10 year old league consists of nearly 180 players from a wide range of ability and skill levels.  There is NO fee to play for eligible players!

Team rosters are divided up equally amongst the teams within the league through a random drawing focusing on roster size balance. All games and practices are at Oakley Park, which is located along Park and Grand Avenues.

All games and practices are at Oakley Park, which is located along Park and Grand Avenues.  Each child should have a baseball mitt.  Shirts, ball caps, and all other necessary equipment will be provided through the P.M. & Lucy Gillmor Foundation. Players should supply their own cleats and pants.  Each team will have two or three practices per week beginning after the player/coaches draft.  Once the practice portion of the season concludes, the regular game season will begin at some point in the second or third week of May with each team usually having two games per week.  The season will last through the middle of July with each team having a total of 12-16 games.  In this league, players pitch to other players in a competitive, but fun environment.

E-League strongly emphasizes a safe, fun, and comfortable atmosphere for the players that encourages fairness in playing time, while teaching children the basic fundamentals of baseball.  Along with teaching children how to develop baseball skills, coaches are aware of developing and maintaining a player’s confidence and self-esteem. Current players who have had a change in contact information must register again with the park and recreation department.

Tiffin Park & Recreation assists E League in the registration process, however any day to day matters regarding the league are handled by the league commissioner; Dan Waters who can be reached at 419-447-5145.
